A lot of people don't actually want to ask questions, they just want to spout their point of view. Many also ask questions (not usually worded quite like yours) because they already "know" the answer and want someone to back them up. Perhaps it makes them feel better.

I think people find it frustrating when others don't see what seems so clear to them. And we really don't always learn how to communicate our thoughts clearly. Also I think a lot of people are hurting and unhappy so they lash out here as a way to releave pressure.
It's not the nicest thing to do, but it is human. The questions that bother me the most are those that seem designed to hurt someone, to make them feel bad.
Whether you are an atheist or a theist, I think it shows a hole, a lack in your personality, when you want to hurt someone. But I try to have a forgiving spirit and I try to pray for those people who show their own pain by trying to hurt others.
We live in a world that can seem a lonely, uncaring place at times. I think we see that fact reflected in some of the anger we see disguised as Yahoo questions.
God bless you,
Laura

I agree. I see this site as an exchange of ideas between people who believe or do not believe in a spiritual existance...whether it be religion or other spiritual pursuits.
The word "stupid" could be applied to anyone who asks questions disrespectfully...regardless of which side they are on.

And your question was....?
I think it's obvious in this section that most of the real questions have been asked and answered a thousand times... There isn't much else to do but tout an opinion by posting a question or attempt to persuade the wiser thinkers to reconsider their positions. While we may not be wasting our time completely, it's near enough, isn't it? But what the heck, eh? It's still beats bangin' on doors and handing out WatchTower.... (In my case, that would be Anti-WatchTower. LOL)
Atheism is the logical choice.

We like to have fun in P&S. By the way, I have never been mean to anyone who is religious.

may I recommend that you spend your time off of yahoo answers. it's people like YOU that ruin this with your one sided views. if it doesn't fit in, delete or ridicule. get a life off the computer. how about, go read a book.
