I believe the most humorous yet most terrifying thing about Satan is the fact that He knows more about God than most pastors do. Keep in mind, he was the leader of all praise and worship in Heaven, at the time his name was Lucifer. Satan knows there's a God, He knows Jesus, He was there when the earth was created, he knows God very well. Yet He has deceived man to the point where they don't believe in God because why? They can't see Him? God doesn't want to win anyone over with cheap tricks, but with Love!

It actually says in the bible, re: the devil, "the devil shall walk the earth for two thousand years, till the second coming", so in my mind, the devil dwells on the earth, where the devil is is hell, and looking at the autrocities of the world, that is probably a fair statement, so hell is where we all are, and we have to be good to graduate to heaven at the next level. Hence the term, hell on earth.

The devil is real but does not have perfect knowledge of everybody. Only God does. Why would the devil spend time tempting those who will ultimately be saved? As a Fallen Spirit the devil is more powerful than any human being. However the devil refused to adore the One who was like humans in all things but sin, lived and human life and died a human death. The devil came to Christ and tempted Him to reject the limitations of human life to which He had been committed. Likewise the devil tempts us to reject the limitations of our humanity and try to be like gods. Only by clinging to Christ can we defeat the temptation to reject our humanness/ Only like Christ can we move through the suffering which comes from being limited. Only in Christ can we experience the reform of our woundedness and the restoration of God's Image in ourselves. The devil ultimately tempts us to abandon Christ who trusted God perfectly. We struggle to remain in Him and triumph if we do so. His Holy Spirit reminds us that we are God's Beloved.

but if God exists then he's way more powerful than the devil, and should be able to kick hiss a** anyday. so I don't worry too much about it.
(not even going to go into the logic of God creating the devil in the first place - what was He thinking!)

LMAO!!!!! Men made up satan, sin, and hell to instill fear and control the sheeple. I am not a sheeple. I have a mind of my own. I am capable of independent thought. I do not give God human flaws like jealousy. I believe God is a perfect deity. He is not some jerk that would flood the whole earth or create a "hell".
