Royal Hawaiian, the original Waikiki resort and the crown jewel of all Honolulu resorts.

It depends on what you're looking for.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village is great for families and those who appreciate Hilton service. They offer many rooms of varying price ranges and have many restaurants and pools on site. They also have a weight room and spa on site.

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is owned by Sheraton and is a much smaller hotel. The rooms will be much smaller but will have the more old-fashioned type charms of one of the original hotels of Waikiki.

The location of the Royal is right in the middle of Waikiki while HHV is on the edge closer to Ala Moana Shopping Center (one of, if not, the largest outdoor shopping mall in the US).

Good luck deciding.....happy travels!

The Royal Hawaiian hands down.

Not as many kids and families, better section of the beach and more central to the action of Waikiki. It's one of the historical hotels of Waikiki and still one of the best.

Royal Hawaiian is the best by far on Waikiki.

Hilton Village!
Rooms are way better, the restaurant at the top floor in top notch. Pool is newer and nicer.
