There is a bunch of stuff on the market, but there are a few things that work the best. First, wear sunblock of 30spf or higher to make sure it doesn't get worse. You should try using a lotion with aloe in it to treat the burn you have, and if the pain is really bad there are some numbing product with lidocaine (a local anesthetic) in them. You should drink lots of water, too. If you want to help resolve it even faster, you can apply some noxema while you are in the shower, because the menthol helps cool the burn and ease the pain, and will actually help heal your skin by forcing the blood away from the surface (something about the menthol in it).
Hope that helps!

vinegar is the best product I have used for a sunburn. Use it when taking a shower. Splash the vinegar where ever you are burnt and rinse a little. Use the coolest water you can stand. Then keep the skin moist with aloe, noxzema, solercain spray is good. I have tried everything for sunburn and vinegar is the best, even though it may smell bad it does help.

aloe vera, solarcaine, and/or aloe gel. Depends on how bad. Usually a day or two for moderate, 3-4 for severe.
