Say hello and smile at people you'd like to get to know. Strike up a conversation about something they are doing or interested in. People love to talk about themselves and that will keep things easy and light without you having to do anything keep it going. You can add your thoughts to what they're talking about and wahla...no more shyness.

Being shy is not a bad thing infact they say men like the girl who is not out in the middle of the room trying to get all the attention. They feel there is mystery. How ever if your shyness is so bad that your not even able to talk to anyone, you just need to really work on starting small chat with people. If you don't have a job get one, being a cashier totally broke my shyness. Try and talk to people you know and do things you normally wouldn't do. Get out there and be the you that you are hiding

Oh you work at it. Get a job in customer service working with people. Each day should be a new adventure. Come up with idea to walk up to people and say "Hi", and start a conversation. Don't let anything or anyone pull you back. Believe me you will come a long way. I was shy growing up but now I can't stop talking, or walking into a room with strangers. Don't ever be afraid to take a chance. let your hair down and have Fun Fun Fun. Life is way to short.

Tell yourself to be forward, self asserting and confident. Mind over matter. Keep telling yourself to do what you know you can do even though you may not have done it before. You have already made the toughest decision, as you are aware that you are shy and no longer want to be. This is over half the battle, now go out and be positive and assert yourself into the group and crowds. You will do fine.

Just do it...make your self talk to people, start small like at the coffee shop..say Hi, look in there eye and say hi. Take babysteps and you will come out of your shell soon. What s the worst that can happen when talking to someone...it isn't the end of the world. I was very shy but I just make myself talk to people. I don't talk about everything but just get involved.

It takes practice. You have to take some risks. Do things that are totally out of character. You will soon realize that it becomes easier and easier. Know this one thing.... everyone is more concerned about the way they come across to worry too much about what you are doing.

I Hello, one question, and one smile at a time.
Try starting with other shy kids that are having as hard time as you moving out of their comfort range.

Being shy is not a bad thing. Honestly I find a shy person more attractive than one that has to be the center of attention.
