I've only had it at the House of Wang. But it's delicious. I can't remember what's all in it..I know broccoli and water chestnuts and baby corn with chicken in some kind of..not sweet but not spicy sauce. I haven't had it in years. Has anyone else ever had this?

yeah I wonder if it has a different name. I would love to find it at another restuarant. At the house of wang (pronounce wahn-g), it's like 12 bucks. which is crazy.

I believe what you are referring to is "Empress" chicken, not Emperor's chicken.

Three Chinese restaurants I know here have emporer's chicken. It is excellent. But no House of Wang.

If it is a cold dish like a chicken salad... it is called Bon Bon Chicken, a Szechuan appetizer. Here is the recipe and you will know whether it is the one you are asking for. <<<<< Bon Bon Chicken >>>> serves 2 Dressing 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 teaspoon of fresh garlic (chopped finely) 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional) 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoons sesame paste (or peanut butter) 1/2 teaspoon roasted white sesame seed (as garnish) 200g shredded steam chicken breast, marinated it with salt and pepper before you steam the meat, then shred the meat into small strips 1/2 cucumber, cut into very thin strips (1 mm thick and 2 inches in length) 3 or 4 dried bean thread Sheets (you can find it in Chinese grocery store) 1. Soak dried bean thread sheets in hot water till soft (about 30 minutes), drain well, cut into thick strips, then boil in hot water for a few second, drain well and put it in ice water, drain and place on the plate. 2. Place chicken meat on bean thread strips. Garnish cucumber on 4 corners or just sprinkle it on top. 3. Mix dressing ingredient well and pour on salad, sprinkle sesame seed on top. (You may add more sesame paste to thicken the dressing)

No, I have had General Tsao's Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, but have not seen emperors chicken anywhere? Soundslike it would be good. It could be also called by another name depending maybe what region the people cooking it are from.
