the thing you need to understand is she is not mature. she is only 17 and has been put under the microscope since she was 14. no teen can handle that kind of pressure

its really sad that her money hungry dad BJ Wie is putting her through all of this. yes she probably wanted this too but her dad should of let her grow into a great player like tigers dad did.

let her play on the highschool team, then college, then US am, then the LPA winning nabisco majors, then finally the PGA. if he laid this plan for her by the time she is 19 or 20 she would be mentally stable for this kind of pressure.

so is she a cry baby? in a sense you can say yes but only because she is a teen and like all of us....as teens we all were cry babies.

personally annika is a bit of a cry baby for calling out a 17 year old too.

Definitely. When she first came on the scene, I think we all were shocked all someone that young could drive a golf ball further than most males. I supported her not only playing LPGA events but men's events as well. However, I quickly learned that her game is about distance, but in terms of being a complete player, she doesn't have it. She can't putt or hit a good second shot. She knows to hone her craft before joining the LPGA fulltime or playing any men's events.

The thing that annoys me is if she plays badly, she makes excuses. She will quit the middle of the round, etc. The reason she was injured last week was because she was afraid she was going to shoot an 88 and be suspended for the year. She does not have the maturity at this point to play with adults.

This kid is getting the exact wrong advice on how to start her career. She's gone from everyone's darling to an embarrassment to herself and the LPGA.

She needs some sort of adult supervision, that seems clear. Someone who can see she's an athlete and not some marketer's toy.

I'd like to see her play and act like we all hoped she would. I'll be pulling for her but I fear she may be tainted for a very long time.

I think she is. Wie claims her wrists are hurting her, pulls out the the tournament she was playing in and then is out practicing a couple days later and acts like she did nothing wrong. Sorenstam is right, she needs to learn a little respect.

Only she know that the injury is real or not...can a wrist injury heal enough in 2 days to practice? Possible...I hurt my wrist before on Saturday and came back to practice on Monday, so it is possible...

NO;she's simply being judged harsher than Morgan Pressel and company. All of this is because of the Asian invasion on the LPGA tour. She's going to do the same thing Tiger did - that's shut up everybody 's mouth.

i dont think so.. like just imagine, you manage to be in the PGA or LPGA, you wouldnt wanna play so bad and definately be kicked out of the LPGA for the whole season right??? so that's why she gave excuses. im sure you would if you were in her shoes. being in the PGA aint walking in the park dude...

She's 7-freakin-teen, fer cryin out loud. Most 17 year olds are still pickin their undies outta their butts in public, meanwhile she's smackin the ball 300 yds. If she's still behaving this way in a few years, folks have a right to pick at her, until then, she can whine all she likes... she's a kid!
