My son was diagnosed with leukemia in 2004, but he had ALL. I know it is not the same, but I can understand the way you and him must be feeling. I remember how horrible those days were for him and for me; the pain, the suffering, the fear. I used to cry every night until I fell asleep. I remember my son undergoing all those difficult procedures and I also remember feeling at that time like dying so I didnt have to watch my son suffering like that. It will be very tough, I won't lie to you ,for us it was the worse time in our lifes. The good news is that God will be there with you and him, you have to know it and feel it in your heart because you are going to need him so bad now; the only thing that kept me going there was knowing that He was there with us; I used to pray, pray and pray, all the time!! And that is my advice to you, pray for your son and be confident that God will listen and your boy will get better; no matter how hard or painful things can look, just remember he is there and ask for his help. I did that an my son is all better now, he has been in remission since September 2004; we had left all those difficult times in our past and we face the future with hope. You and your son will too, just hang in there. I will be praying for you. God bless...

Dear shershadow13,
My brother was diagnosed with AML M5 when he was 25.I suggest you to visit this site: http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/ubb.adp?frame_url=http://ubb-lls.leukemia-lymphoma.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro&item_id=9388 There are so many people there who can help you with all the questions and give you and your son supports that you need.
But the best way to understand more about your son's condition is by asking the oncologist all the questions that you feel to ask, no matter how crazy that questions sounds like.
This is going to be a tough journey, for your son and your family. Be there for him. There will be time when you feel like everything is too much, but remember, he's the one who suffer and all that we can do is to make everything as comfortable as we can for him.
Good luck for you with this journey. Your life will be slightly different from before, but you'll learn to cope with it.
Regards to your son, and god bless.

dont think there is much you can say to a 20 yr old with leukemia. Pray.

If I had been to your footwear, I could dossier for a divorce earlier than the week is out. I had been in a equivalent footwear ago with my first spouse. My ex-spouse obtained a boyfriend, and we filed divorce whilst I discovered approximately it. In your case the truth that this is a younger guy she would be the mummy of simply makes it worse. The proven fact that it's one among your son's peers is terrible. The proven fact that she needs a few extra "in combination time" with him is inexcusable if she needs to stick with you. This used to be now not only a temporary mistake within the warmness of the second which possibly forgiven for the sake of the wedding. This is an ongoing courting external of your marriage, and violates the principal intent for being married. The simplest method both of you'll make this marriage paintings is by means of leaving it a wedding in title simplest. If you each conform to be roommates, with separate sexual lives from every different this would possibly give you the results you want. That situation will simplest paintings if you're each mature adequate, and to this point out of affection that it is only a topic of financial comfort for you. If one or the opposite of you remains to be in love, that's simplest going to be a direction for additional anguish. I do not advise this direction for ninety five% of the men and women available in the market. Best recommendation, having performed it myself, you will have to do the next: * Stop being her idiot, even though you like her. She will not ever admire you for it. If she does now not have the extent of admire to not cheat on you. Then you will have to not ever have the extent of admire to believe her. * Protect your fiscal resources. Get a separate account and transfer your cash into it. Close any joint credit score strains. * You or she demands to transport out of the condo into your possess location as quickly as viable. * File for divorce, simply cross for your county courthouse. * Determine what custody preparations will likely be made for any minor kids. * If she will battle the divorce, or reason issues with the estate department, get a well legal professional. * You must forgive your spouse and your self to your possess sake, now not hers. Forgiving isn't the equal as carrying on with to be a sufferer of her outrageous habits. I wish this is helping.
