Great news! You don't need to pick a career! You need to pick intermediate goals. Goal 1 - get accepted into a good college Goal 2 - declare a major of liberal arts (general studies) Goal 3 - by your Junior year in college, declare a true major, which you can then pursue.

I don't think Math is a must to be a neurosurgeon. You could do a little research and contact the American Medical Association and see if they can give you some answers to your question.
However, I wouldn't stress. People wind up changing their careers a couple of times in their lifetime and what you start out doing, may not be what you wind up retiring from. Plus, you still have a lot of classes you can take in high school that may have that light bulb go off in your head as "this is great, I would love to do this for a living".
Check out the electives offered for 12th grade, and get a course catalog for a college you might be interested in attending and see what they offer that might interest you.

Take a breather. You won't need to have a solid career choice until you're well into college. You've got a couple of years to decide where to go to school, so look for one that has a premed program, but look at other programs at the school as well so if you decide neurology isn't your suit, you can study something else. It is fine to go to college with no plan whatsoever as to what you're going to do after you finish...I just graduated from college and I still don't know what I want to do for a career! It's fine to change your major a couple of times while you're in college, most people do. So long as you keep decent grades and settle on one before your third year, you'll be fine. You could go into college with an undeclared or open option major, take 1 or 2 freshman level classes you'd need for a premed major (which is what you'd most likely want so you can go to med school to become a neurosurgeon) and see how you do. If you hate them, struggle in them, or find something else you like more, then you'll know that medicine isn't right for you. For now, just start looking at schools you think you'd like and focus on finishing high school. Focus on getting into college right now, and pick one you like. You can worry about college classes and your career later. You're just 16, you don't have to decide today what you want to do when you're an adult.

Listen, pal , math sucks. Period. But it's no disqualification to becoming a neurosurgeon.
To become a neurosurgeon, you do have to study a lot. if fact you have to .love studying and learning. But I'm sure you'll find doctors that say math sucks.
, Relax.you still have another year of HS, then college---so you have plenty of time to decide. You don't have to decide tomorrow.
By asking for help, you've done the most important thing, realized you need help. Keep plugging, one day it might just fall together. You may never love math., but at least you'll be able to get by.
Good luck.
