You know it is really easy to sit there and call it stupid or say it is an addition but I want to know how it is an addition to the Bible. I got some stupid answers nothing worth while. Maybe it is because it is not an addition to the bible. Are Prods really this dumb?

Come on Jenny Jones show me where the Book of Mormon is an addition. What a typical Prod they can insult but they can't back anything up. How pathetic.

The Book of Mormon supports the Bible and is another witness that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world.

I am amazed how stupid people like christina.yost can be! Does she even know what she is talking about??? Does she know where the Book of Mormon came from?
More to the point, does she even know the origins of the Bible? No, probably not. People who keep siting Revelation as "proof" that nothing can be added to the Bible, probably think the Bible fell right out the sky. Does she even know that the Bible did not even exist as we now have it when Revelation was written.
The Book of Mormon was written on a completely separate continent (the Americas) during the same time the Bible was written. How could it be possible to combine the writings with the Bible when it on the other side of the world---a part of the world that the main part of the world didn't know existed!
Grow a brain, would you please?
This whole "can't add to the Bible" thing is getting seriously old. Do people know how to read, or are they blindly following what their religious leaders tell them?
There's plenty of evidence in the Bible which refers to other records and other people who are to hear God's word. For one Ezekiel 37: 19
"Say unto them, This saith the Lord God: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand"
Stick of Judah = BIBLE
Stick of Joseph = BOOK OF MORMON
Don't believe me? Read up on the promises made to Joseph who was sold into Egypt by his brothers. His tribe was promised a land of their own. A land choice above all other lands. Could that land possibly be America? The Book of Mormon is the record of the tribe of Joseph.
There are 10 other lost tribes of Israel. One day their record will also be revealed. And they will all be separate from each other, and from the Bible. Yet, the will testify of Jesus Christ as the Book of Mormon does.

Yes. Mormons are Christians who follow the Bible plus the Book of Mormon. It is not an addendum to the Bible. It is a unique book unto itself.
It offers additional inspirational writing about God and Jesus. It also offers a history of the Nephites, Lamanites, and Jaredites.
The Nephites and Lamanites were Jews who left Jerusalem around 600 BC, just before the Babylonians captured that city. The Lamanites eventually emigrated to North America and are the ancient ancestors of Native Americans.
The Jaredites originated around the Tower of Babel.

I am LDS and we do not believe The Book of Mormon to be an 'addition' to the Bible. If you read it you will find that it's title is "The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ" which is what we belive it to be, another testament of Jesus Christ.
Also, in Revelation 22:18-19 it states "18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19If any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." This verse is often used to say that the Book of Mormon is 'illegitimate'. I'll have you know that the Bible is not in chronological order, the book of Revelation was actually written before many of the books that are printed before it. This passage of scripture is referring only to the book of Revelation and not the Bible as a whole. This is ofcourse beside the fact that this passage doesn't disprove the Book of Mormon at all where ever it was written. Not ofcourse to discredit the beautiful pages written by the inspired words of St John the Divine and his book of Revelation which Mormons do in fact study along with the rest of the Holy Bible...
I would also quote the 8th Article of Faith of the LDS Church, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God."
Hope that helps, god bless.

It is if your a Mormon, but if you practice any other form of Christianity it is not . Its basically what the founders of the Mormon religion deem an addition to the bible.

Mormonism is polytheism and a tiered religion where new members are told something different than older "trusted" members who have been sealed in their temple.
True Mormonism is still considered by many to be polygamy due to the two founders being extreme polygamists.
If you progress to the upper membership you have to wear special Mormon underwear that nobody likes. It is not as comfortable as modern underwear.
The Book of Mormon seems to be snippets of the Bible redone.
The real test of Mormonism being false is the polytheism and disrespect of the sovereignty of the Lord.

It isn't an addition to anything except to your local Library. Unfortunately, it is miscatagorized, and should be under 'fiction'. Actually, it's more of a fantasy based on early American politics and culture.
And monumentally difficult to read.

If Mormons claim it's an addition it is not! That's false. From what I know some guy named Joseph Smith who claimed God spoke to him wrote the book of Mormon. Only his book contradicts the Holy Bible. PLEASE!!!!!!! Go to www.witforjesus.org for more information. You WILL NOT regret eat it!
