I can't believe you bought a Yugo. Those things keep getting blown off of bridges.

The SKS is an fantastic rifle from any usa. they are stable and precise. That being pronounced, i in my opinion desire the Yugo. Theirs are "beefier" than every physique else's. i actually like the feel of the Yugo. Plus, on the instant time, Yugos are the main much less costly. there is not any longer something incorrect with the Russians. they are lighter than the Yugo, which could be on your liking. they are additionally at the instant the costliest, for no quite stable reason. The chinese language have a popularity for having an inferior end. they are extra in possibility of floor rust. besides the fact that, this could be a in easy terms attractiveness illness, and would not exchange their fantastic reliability. Norinco is proper to the only "iffy" option to make. they have an inclination to play with the unique layout, and the reliability of their rifles suffers as a effect.

Don't trade this rifle at a store.
You WILL get ripped off.
You can easily sell this gun for $150 or more to an individual.
Furthermore, how the hell did you buy an SKS in California? And if you didn't purchase it in California, you should know it is illegal to bring them into California. If you bring your SKS to a gun shop or pawn shop there, you'll lose your gun, and could end up going to jail.
*** EDIT ***
Oh, hey, my bad. Evidently, some SKS's have been modified to comply with California's (hack, spit) gun laws--the grenade launcher has been removed and replaced with a muzzle brake.
Sorry, but with over 20,000 unconstitutional gun laws on the books across the country, I can't know them all.

Avoid dealing with a pawn broker. Go to a gun dealer that has a stock, and is willing to trade.
In my state we can go to the S.O. and get a permit to purchase, the S.O. does the NCIC background, it is good for 3 years.
in the Kommunist Peoples Republik of Kalifornia I feel for you. You may want to just keep the SKS.
My suggestion.. Move.

You have to get a background check for every firearm you purchase.
