Got to be 18 to join the LPGA, unless the LPGA makes an exception to the rule.

The real reason Wie hasn't asked for an exception is that she and her parents want full control over her golf activities right now. LPGA members have to follow all of its rules (including mandatory play, etc).

By not joining the LPGA, Wie is free to play the LPGA when she wants (she gets a sponsor's invitation when she asks for it), free to chase the men's tournaments that let her in, and free to disregard the rules/regs that fulltime tour players adhere to.

Wie isn't a team player. There is an "I" in Wie. As in "me, myself and I."

Another conceited, disrespectful, punk beatch. She can't care less about the sport, she only cares about babbling for 15 minutes in front of the cameras, the money and the publicity that she's getting, and she sucks!
Look at Lorena Ochoa, she doesn't get that much publicity because she's Mexican, but she's 1,000 times better than that "brat"
She's 1st. in money earnings in the world in 2007 and number 10th in all around with only 4 years in the tour, even faster than Anika.
She's humble and respectful as well as pretty.

And just look at her stats
rank #1 on Birdies, Eagles,Greens Hit, Top ten Finishes and the most important, Scoring
Viva Lorena!!!
Viva Mexico!!!

She is a disgrace to the sport. She was caught cheating on her first game in LPGA, and now she is disrespecting the sport. What a shame...

Then again, seeing how Koreans cheated in many other sports (ie, world cup for one), I guess this can be considered as a normal behavior.

Because she likes to embarass herself pretending she can play the PGA tour.

When she turns 18 she can join, but whether or not she takes the game of golf seriously and works on her game remains another story.
