My co-worker always turns the air off when she sees me turn it on, usually after 10 mins. It's hot in here, outside it's in the mid 80s. We are not allowed to have little electric fans, and my hand hurts from fanning myself w/ the paper fan I made from recycled paper. What do I tell her next time she shuts it off? She asks me "Dang! gurl are you having hot flashes?!?" (she tries to be funny). But no I am not having hot flashes, I'm 26 y/o and not obese (for those who don't know, obese ppl tend to sweat alot). She's always cold, and expects me to bake here.

get up, hand her a sweater(even if you buy her a cheap one),and turn the air back on. Better yet, arrive to work early, crank up the A/C, and break off the control, then hide the sweater!

We have this same problem and had to reach a compromise. The girls in my office (including myself) would barely turn the ac on at all. The guys like it around 60. So it is set at 72 and that is it. it cannot be moved more than 2 degrees in any direction.
Seriously though--if she is turning it off after 10 min, that is not a compromise.
In my office the girls wear sweaters and the guys are a lil warm. That is the compromise. What is she wearing that she is so cold? If she is wearing thin lil tank tops, then no wonder she is so cold.
Make a time plan or schedule. The ac can stay on for 2 hours. Then off for 2 hours. Neither of you quite gets your way. But unless she is the boss or the boss's wife--there has to be a solution somewhere. But you have to be upfront and honest with her as well.

Maybe you should have a chat with the boss! There should be a way to resolve this amicabily, but you do need to get together with a referee and work it out. Approach her and tell her of your feelings about her attitude without upsetting her, and say you need to do something about it as your working day is made miserable when you're left in the heat. You obviously don't share the same metabolisms, and the problem is not going to go away until you make a move.

i've got examine a pair of surveys on that undertaking and the outcomes have been you may get extra appropriate mileage with a/c off using around city besides the undeniable fact that it did no longer fairly say how lots. With the fee of gasoline it fairly is advisable to top off and write mileage down and run each week or so with a/c off and do comparable with a/c on and evaluate mpg. The survey did tutor there wasn't lots differance at street speeds via fact the homestead windows down interfered with the areodynamics of the vehicle.

I had a similar incident but it involved a heater. As soon as she turned it off I turned it on. Maybe you should talk to the boss, so he or she can resolve this issue.

Yes, it is easier for her to put on more clothes rather than you take off yours.......you need to politely explain that you can't work in such conditions and that you need the air con as it is hot....if that doesn't work, speak to your boss, although he/she might see it as trivial........
