Yes, when I am really being good, I stick to the Zone diet, but never use any meat except for salmon. I feel best when I cut out all flour and sugar.

My recommendation would be to eat plenty of fruit and vegies for the low calorie components of your diet and for the higher calorie components eat bread, cereals, muesli, hot pasta, nuts and potatoes. Don't overdo the nuts because they are very high in calories. Almonds are very good nuts to include in your diet. Most brands of muesli also include nuts and seeds in the muesli mix (besides dried fruit) and these are rich in minerals such as magnesium, iron and others so I would recommend muesli rather than cereals. Most mueslis are based on oats and usually contain small amounts of other cereals.
Besides the above I would recommend fish at least twice a week and with your cereals or muesli either skim milk or soy milk. Preferably no red meat at all or very small amounts. White meat is much better than red meat but don't overdo it. You could even skip the white meat as well. Red meat and to a lesser extent white meat can lead to colon cancer.
Don't worry too much about getting enough protein because you don't really need as much protein as is often suggested by the media.
Probably the worst possible diet you could eat is the Atkins diet which does actually reduce your weight as is claimed. It is predominantly red meat and not much else. The perfect recipe for a heart attack, a stroke and colon cancer.

i eat healthy all the time - i am very health coutious.
what i have i my fridge always is all kinds of meat, veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, spinach, eggplants, asparagus, onions, baby carrots, beets, garlic), fruit (seasonal mostly because its cheaper so now its peaches, apricots, oranges, strawberries, cherries and i love mangoes) and i have some whole grain products which i usually have for breakfast (old fashioned oatmeal, whole wheat pita pockets, whole wheat wraps and i like Kashi cereals), and my snacks are yogurts, 60cal puddings, nuts, dried fruit, rarely i get fudge popsicles (25 cal) or frozen yogurt or some sugar free cookies or dark bitter chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
I cant even eat anything that is not healthy, i get nosious walking by fast food places and i try not to eat out because no matter what you tell waiter they always manage to put more oil or something else in the food that will make my stomach hurt.

The only way you can truly eat healthy is if you enjoy it.
Finding foods you like is the key. And eating a salad with 1/2 a bottle of ranch doesnt count( I know we all do it)
And if u execise you can eat what you want. STAY away from Very saltly food, they are addicting. and they make your arms jiggle. and you dont want that.

yea pretty much. i'm vegetarian so i don't get tempted by fatty burgers and such, which helps a lot. I don't eat bark and twigs though. I love lettuce, cheese, tomato sandwiches, salads with fake chicken and lots of cherry tomatoes. whole grain pasta. When i'm out i take my own snacks like wheat thins and granola bars so i don't get tempted by fatty fast food. If i am starving and have no snacks i will go to subway which i find delicious and doesn't make me feel gross and fat.
