Is such reporting more than an abuse of YahooAnswers? If you believe in God, what do you think He thinks of such actions? If you are not religious, does such activity convince you to become religious? How would you characterize such behavior?

I only report people who post inappropriate content, because my little boy might be looking. I think it's not right to report someone who is saying something you disagree with and that's their only offense.

I would characterize that behavior as someone who is a control freak who can't stand anyone thinking differently from them. These people are dangerous, bordering on psychotic, and should be avoided in life if you know them.

Hello Aunt Mab,

I'm against suppression of opinion whether or not I agree with the point being made or not. The only caveat to that is if some crime is being committed and action must be taken to prevent harm to someone.

We are so very fortunate in this forum because we can choose to read and / or respond to the questions that intrigue us, view questions we are curious about and see the answers people have written, and offer to help those who are confused or troubled by the circumstances of life.

We are NOT forced to listen to the blatherings of the smugly self-righteous, the emotional baiting by the pseudo-intellectual egos, nor the often juvenile level of sarcastic humor that infuses some people.

Once you recognize a screen name as consistently being in one of the above categories, you can blissfully scroll by and not be bothered by the posturing. Isn't this a great place to talk?

The Divine gave us a magnificent gift: Free will to use or abuse as pleases us. Those who don't believe in the Divine will nevertheless be held accountable for their actions at the end of things. Everyone is responsible for their own life and what they make of it.

My personal spirituality does not have a hell; but it has a Principal's office. If you truly messed up in one of life's classes and you have sown some bad karma, you simply repeat the class until you get it right... Failure is not an eternal option.

Sometimes the folks who don't get the Message may end up with a kind of spiritual detention - a form of spiritual counseling that will make them squirm, cower, shiver, and so forth until they see and acknowledge their accountability for their actions. Then they are sent back to class to see if the lesson took and if different choices are made. If not, then it goes around again for as long as it takes for people to mature spiritually.

It doesn't have to affect you personally unless you permit it to do so. You don't laugh at a second grader because they can't understand fifth grade lessons nor can you be smug about being a fifth grader because you, yourself, were once in second grade. It's a matter of maturity and being ready to progress.

That's my two cents. Your mileage may vary.

Warmly,
Tara

It's pretty silly, I really couldn't judge if it wasn't sinful or it was.
It certainly only doesn't elevate my opinion of the religious zealots on here, though some of the Christian people here do carry themselves with class and I respect that.
It's just childish, and that's really all it is.

Typical Fundie Christian behavior...they have to censor and suppress anything that dosen't agree with them.
