Absolutely not. There are 0 grams of fat in water, and in fact, water will help you LOSE weight and be all-around healthier. I don't know if you realize, but the 8-glasses of reccommended water per day, is actually a LOT of water. Some people still drink more than that, and are healthy as oxen.

Summation: Water = good.

Heavens no! Water is by far the best thing you can over indulge in. The only thing I must mention, look very closely at the label of your bottled water. Ensure that it is what the pretty picture on the label makes you think it is. I know of a "spring water" bottling plant in Cincinnati down by the Ohio River. That's their source for the water. Watch for additives, pure drinking water doesn't need any additives right? It should be "pure".

No. Water cannot create fat. You could be bloated but it is temp. You would have to consume a very large amount of water and in any case it will go away when you stop intaking so much.

Absolutely not! Other than having no calories, drinking plenty of water will actually help you burn fat.

If you fail to take in enough water each day, your body thinks that it is entering a period of drought. As a result, your body reacts by storing as much water as possible to get through this drought.

This extra, stored water leaves you looking and feeling bloated. This is not exactly the look you are after if you are trying to lose weight or get 6-pack abs.

Therefore, you must drink water to lose weight. The extra water signals your body that the drought is over. Your body will cease to hold excess water in reserve.

You must drink water to help weight loss!

Water is essential for proper kidney function. If your kidneys are functioning at a sub-optimal level, it receives assitance from your liver.
One of the liver's functions is to metabolize fat. Therefore, when you liver is lending a hand to your kidneys, your fat metabolism process is less efficient, and therefore, less productive.

Just like businesses, we should seek to make sure that our processes are working as efficintly as possible to reduce costs (fat) and increase the profits from our hard work. This is why it is important to drink water to help weight loss - to keep our fat metabolizing process running as efficiently as possible.

Additionaly, the extra water you drink water to lose weight acts as an extremely effective appetite suppresant. This is because your stomach will fill with water, leaving less room for food, and causing you to feel full sooner with less food. Less food generally means less calories. And less calories can help make it easier to be in a state of calorie deficit.

Actually, drinking too much water can kill you!
But usually, if you drink about 6-8 glasses of water a day you will be less hungry and better hydrated, so you will lose weight eventually.

No, water cannot make you fat.
But when quickly over hydrated can cause hypervolumia. Too, much water in the blood, lack of electrolytes, and creitein. Drink what you can but if you aren't thirsty don't drink.

No, but if you did that regularly you could 'drown' from the inside, and die. Try 'limiting' yourself to no more than 3/4 of a gallon a day ... 96 ounces.
