That stating something exists without proof somehow makes it true.

Stating a book says it is the word of a god makes it that way.

That peoplpe insist there has to be a reason we are here.

People state god always existed and is therefore not subject to the question of who created it. Because everything must have some sort of beginning is often what is said.

These are in reply to misconceptions:

Things "looking created" isn't evidence for a creator.

Needing to explain phenomena isn't a justification for something supernatural.

Pascal's wager is ridiculous.

The burden of proof is upon the affirmative party.

There is a difference between "not believing that X exists" and "believing that X does not exist."

There are probably more, but these come to mind.
