God promises that he will answer all prayers for those that come to him in faith. That does not mean that you can simply order up something and expect God to fill your order. He is not our servant...but we are His. Whether or not he provides you with what you ask will depend on what HE KNOWS is best for you. Perhaps he is waiting to see what you are willing to do to change your financial situation. Just a side note: Are you aware of the disasters that have occurred in the lives of big lottery winners? They often end up far unhappier than they were before they received the money. If he is refusing to give you what you ask....it may well be because he is protecting you.

Well there are a couple of things you need to know about faith first and God's will. First off, you must realize you indeed CAN receive outside of God's will, regardless of what people tell you. The problem with that is that it is probably NOT in your best interest. (Jeremiah 29:11) Receiving outside of God's will is common because faith is not just a God thing, it is also a principal. For example, Israel begged God for a king, and God didn't want them to have a man as a king because men are of corrupt hearts, but they kept asking and God have them Saul. Yet He told them what would happen as a result of their disobedience. The question is, if you won the lotto, would your heart truly stay on God? Would you do the will of the Lord with that money? Or would you serve and worship that money and forget about God? See God doesn't have a problem with you having money, it's the problem of money having a grasp on you and your heart and mind. Instead of praying to win the lotto, Ask God what He would have you do to better serve Him so that He can bless with things like money or any material thing your heart desires. But keep in mind, anything physical is temporary. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God..."

Lots of people pray to win the lottery. But remember, God only answers His Children, AND the answer isn't necessarily going to be 'yes'. Many lottery winners end up dead within just a couple of years. Maybe God has plans for you, and so needs you alive right now. Besides, you must pray within God's Will. How is unearned access to the false god Mammon something that God would approve of? Find a better object of prayer.

First of all are you yourself a Christian?

God requires that we come to Him with a repentant heart and a relationship. (kind of like you most likely wouldn't open your home up to a stranger).

Also we are told to pray for His will in the name of Jesus.

There are "name it and claim it" ministries out there, who are spreading a false gospel to people.

The first thing that I would recommend you working on is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

My family has been through financial hardships and God has provided everything that we need. This doesn't mean that we won the lottery, it means that we placed our faith in Him and never went with out what we needed to get by.

Money is most likely not the answer to not losing your mind. Many people with vast amounts of money are no happier than those who have less.

Seriously consider reading and studying the Bible, instead of a "Christian book". The Bible is the infallible, God breathed Word of truth. In it you will find the way to get through life without loosing your mind. And know that all of the Bible prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100 % accurate.

If you take the Lord's prayer as a model for how we are to pray instead of the book that you read, it may be helpful. While asking God for the things we need is a part of praying. The first three phrases of the prayer bring into focus the ultimate purpose for our prayers. Ultimately what we pray for is that our hearts would be most motivated by a desire to please God in every aspect of our lives, that His glory would be first and foremost in all of our thinking, speaking and actions. While winning the lotto seems very important to you, and you would try to honor God with how you use the money, it is probably not God's first priority for your life.

I don't say this to be trite or harsh, because I don't find putting God's glory first in my life to be something easy. Yet I'm finding that it's true and good and ultimately what He wants us to pray for. I hope this helps.

This is called the "Health and Wealth" gospel. It has no basis in what the Bible actually says. God isn't some vending machine or genie that will grant you any wish you may have. If you want to see prayers answered you first must humble yourself and repent of your sins and turn to Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You then need to read the Bible daily to understand God's will for you. Also pray for better understanding. Then, once you start praying what is in the will of God your prayers will be answered.

Wow, I think you do not have a good thought of our Lord! He is not here to put a million dollars in your bank. He is here to get you through the times when there is no money in the bank. Stop worrying about the big lottery hit and give something of yourself. Spread some of his love and you will win every time. Money comes and goes but God is forever. Get a job if you don't have one or get a better one if you do. Go to school to better prepare yourself for a good career. You do not need millions of dollars to survive. Just be a good person!

Praying to win the lottery is not going to work. God does not give out money...he is not a fairy godmother.

Pray for strength, pray that God will help you get through this tough time and allow you to learn from it. Offer up your suffering and realize that in time like this, God is there for you. No one suffered like Christ...he understands all pain.

Having faith is not just wanting something so bad and believing it that you get it. Having faith is understanding that no matter what...no matter how bad your life gets...that the only thing that matters is God, and your love for him and his for you. This world will end...but your salvation through Christ will be forever.

Jesus tells us...you are in the world but not of it. He also says take up your cross and follow me. Both these statements tell us that we are not necessarily going to be "happy" and well off here on earth. Read the Beatitudes...blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

What did Jesus do while He walked this earth? He always in every circumstance did what pleased His Father. He always sought to glorify His Father. He is our example, our lives as Christians are to glorify the work of Jesus Christ. If that is your goal, then you would realize that if you testified that God blessed you with the winning lottery ticket, you would start a flood of needy Christians on a lottery binge. They would be deceived into spending their entire paycheck on lottery tickets "in faith" of course. Now God wouldn't start such a thing would He? That wouldn't glorify Him or Jesus. God will glorify His Son in you once you desire His glory and not your own. Do you understand that?

You can only get to the Father (God) through the Son (Jesus). Meaning that unless you truly except Jesus into your life, God won't listen to your prayers.

If winning the lottery is not in God's specific plan for you, then you can't convince Him otherwise. But who knows, God may have bigger plans for you other than the lottery! Now that's something to get excited over!

Helpful Hint: God is a name and therefor should be spelled with a capital "G". The same for Jesus.
