It depends on the severity of the disease and the woman. Diabetics and cancer patients often raise children with no adversity to the children. The children quite often don't even know their mother has an illness.

The same is true of mental conditions. Most of the conditions you listed can be treated with medications. If the woman is dedicated to providing a healthy environment for her child, she will follow the medical standards mandated to control her disease as best she can.

I was raised by a woman who suffered severe depression before medications were commonly available and I'm fine.

It can be done. I wouldn't recommend someone deliberately get pregnant if they have a severe mental or physical disease until they think it over very carefully, but it can be done.

just because you can have sex and get pregnant doesnt mean you have the ability to take care of a baby...having sex and carrying a baby are not the hard part...taking care of it is exhausting for a healthy person let alone one who is sick...i have diabetes and had cancer treatment last year..it was exhausting.

They can have the ability depending on how severe their disease is. They may need occupational therapy or some other sort of therapy to help them learn some things again.
