Don't you christians misinterpret this ?
The "word of god" actualy means "law of god",because what god says, you have to obey ?
People mix theese things a lot,and I'm tired of answering stupid questions from formalist christians, who take the bible as it reads.
DIDN'T ANYONE TELL YOU THAT BIBLE IS WRITTEN IN METAPHOR ?

L'chaim!

Right on!

Finally!~ Someone who gets it. The whole Bible is a metaphor -- some might say the way mythology is not literal either. I mean yes there were literalists back then too, who thought that Zeus' head like blew open and the Bull Europa came running out, a real bull and all, and then Zeus' head had to heal up (what a mess!)

But most people back then understood the bull explosion of Zeus' head to mean a huge powerful culture, a vital strong idea. . .what has happened is that in our culture we have not learned to think and speak in metaphor -- the dumbing down of thought to faith-only belief has not helped matters.

Faith is impotrant but not sufficient to answer all needs!

Well, you got it! Carry on.

You know, everything is Metaphorical. All words. They represent. "If some one asks you what the moon is, don't describe, point to it"
and I would disagree. The Word of God is Jesus Christ. Still a metaphor. John 1:1-2.

Well, you take it as a metaphor, boy genius. I will take it for the truth of God that it is.
If you are tired of answering questions, go away.
