depends on the species and age of the chick. you also need a brooder.

Well, to be honest I don't put a thermometer in the formula...I just mix it with hot water, and stick my finger in it to make sure it isn't to hot...This is what I have got use to over the years...But I am sure it says what temp. on the bag of formula...I've done this for 22 years and have never had a problem...
But if it is cold, then you WILL have a problem..good luck.
