Typically there is no cost to file for a restraining order, but regardless, isn't your safety worth a few bucks?

Don't pay attention to the "incest abuse" portion of that link, it details how to file one.

orly? how old are you? if your old enough (say 18+) you can go to the police and tell them you want a restraining order. tell them the threats that he is saying to you but DON'T LET ANYONE KNOW! The police should help with this and it should be free i believe. i am in the process of getting one know. anywayz, if these threats are claiming physical harm towards you, the cops should do something about it. My email if flashingimage2@yahoo.com. I live in St. Louis Missouri and if anything trully bad happens or your afraid of something more to happen, email me and i will help as much as i can. Good luck. And God bless you.

Generally there is no cost to you to get a restraining order, although some departments may charge a fee up to forty dollars or so to file the paper work.(all depends on where you live) Go to your local police department and tell them what is going on. you may also have grounds to have the person locked up depending on the type of threats that were made.... this would follow under terrorist threats, or simple battery.

You pretty much have to go through a lawyer and that costs, and there our court fees. One can file one's self, but....
