As a dad that is divorced with kids, I can tell you that straight talk is the best way. I don't understand the whole 'texting' thing. If you want to know how someone is feeling and you want to truly express they way you feel, then it needs to be in a two way conversation. Texting is an imature way to communicate and you are needing a mature conversation.

You know, it could be, that your dad is pissed off at you too because you haven't called him. The telephone works both ways. If you can text him... you can call him. If he hasn't called you... why haven't you called him?

I'm not trying to sound mean... just laying out other possiblities here. Take a minute.. give you dad a call. Let him know it is important to you that you hear from him. You will both be the better far it and you will be showing a new level of maturity and responsibility.

Good luck and I hope you and your dad can work it out.

Just tell him how you feel
He might not even be aware of how you are feeling, and you certainly don't want a repeat of his ignoring you..
You have to open up a good communication with him.. then you won't get so angry..
Call him, and ask "Hey Dad what gives, I have not heard from you in over a week and that kinda hurts"... something to that effect.. Give him the chance to explain why, then the ball is in his court and hopefully he will understand exactly how you feel and not let you down ever again...

Maybe there is a reason, has he been sick? Is he out of work and does not want you to know, or worry about him? Call him and ask him straight up why he has not called you. I would not send a text message.
