For me being a Christian means being a Christ follower. I belive Christ is who he said he was God's son and that he came to bring an understanding of why we are here and how we can live healthy, complete lives. What this looks like daily is serving others as Christ did (like my husband and children and friends and people in my community). Loving people as Chirst did looking beyond social and econimical differences to try to see poeple the way God sees them as his precious children. Examining my views and beliefs and how they make this life better for me and the people around me. I think part of what made Christ so easy to understand was his compassion for mankind and his disdain for those who claimed to know him and had no compassion. I think I am always trying to understand God more in relation to others around me through reading the bible and dicussing these things with other people. Wow that's like a book sorry...

It means conforming my mind and actions to the scriptures in the best way that I can, even though it is often difficult and inconvenient.
It means sacrificing my personal interests to serve other people, including sacrificially giving of my money and time to help others.
It means renewing my mind and understanding other religions and philosophies as well as I can, and always being prepared to give reasons for what I believe ("faith" is not a reason, by the way)
It means having a relationship with God through personal prayer and meditation, releasing my cares and wrongs into His hands.
It means being deeply disturbed when I am wrong or hypocritical, failing to live up to the standards I have chosen, but understanding that I will never be perfect and that Christ has forgiven me and lent me His perfection.
It means constantly needing to forgive, and feeling terrible pain at the hostility, rejection, and not-so-subtle bigotry that I encounter every day.
Yes, it is a burden, but it is also a great blessing.

Wow, a lot of really good and sincere answeres.
I believe a Christian accepts Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of mankind, and their own personal Savior. The only way to live with Heavenly Father.
A Christian lives in accordance with his beliefs. He tries to keep the commandments and follow the example of Christ.
A Christian is not perferct, nor should claim to be better than others.

Being a christian means that you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will worship hime with prayer, the reading of scripture, singing songs of praise, and attending worship. Being a christian means you will go to heaven when you die to be with Jesus and ALL other christians for an eternity of happiness! Not believing in Jesus means that you will go to hell and live miserable for the rest of your life! In your daily life you should tell others about Jesus and how he could save you if you just believe! I hope this helps and remember... Jesus Saves Sinners!!!

It means at every moment I need to keep in mind the things that Jesus taught about how to live and try to emulate these things. It means, because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, I have the privilege of prayer to the Father in Heaven. I have God's spirit living within me, I have peace and assurance of His many promises, I know my sins are forgiven, and I will have eternal life with my Lord and Savior when my time is over on this earth.

To me, being a Christian means that I have accepted Christ as the Lord of my life through faith in his sacrifice on the cross. In my daily life, I seek to build a closer relationship with God and to be an example of Christ's love to the world by following his commandments -- loving God with all my heart, and loving others as myself.

My priorities are God first (He is always on my mind, so I read & pray), meeting my husbands needs (respect and physical touch, etc.), meeting my child's needs (feeding, caring, educating, fun), taking care of other duties around the home, thinking of friends and family (encouragements, making phone calls, etc.), and finally, but not lastly, thinking of the needy and afflicted (what ways I can help). At the end of the day, I ask myself if I've done what I should have and could have done better. I ask God to help me know how to do better and for Him to reveal what areas I need to change.

It means living according to God's law, as He would want us to. It means helping people. It means being a good example to others ("This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine"). It means having all of the traits we ought to : honesty, integrity, etc.
It means praising God, thanking God, and asking Him to watch over us and whomever we decide to pray for. It means trusting Him with our lives all the days of our lives. It means being Him on Earth, spreading the word with love. It means the one path to salvation.
