Only the time you serve in country. Which means Iraq.

It only includes a tour of duty in Iraq. The armed forces are training all the time in various American sites. This time is not included in the deployment timespan.

Deployment to theater, most of which is in Iraq. It tends to include a short time spent in Kuwait before and after the time spent in Iraq, particularly afterwards... usually a couple of weeks or so. The training you're referring to, if I'm not mistaken, is IRT--that does not count towards your time in theater; in fact, many have to go through some IRT before they arrive in theater, and some more after they arrive in theater.

actually, Iam a reservist, who did a 15 month deployment, we left Bellville Illinois and went to Indiana, stayed 2 months there training, went to Iraq for a year, spent almost a month de-mobing back in Indiana

only time that is served in iraq training for iraq is done while the solider is still on there home post and NOT DEPLOYED. 15 monts deployed means DEPLOYED its common sense.
