I have become very close to my father in law and want to get him the perfect father's day gift, but I have never shopped for a father's day gift. My daddy in law loves to work with his hands, but I'm tired of getting him tools. I want something he can enjoy. He also likes baseball, but I dont want to give him something he'll never use, and he already has 50 hats. What do i get someone who really doesnt want anything.

One of my dad's favorite father's day gifts was a hand made coupon book that he could use throughout the year.

It had things like:
Clean Dad's car.
Help Dad with yard work.
Barbecue for Dad.
Take the garbage out for Dad.
Take Dad to the baseball game.

You know what your dad does on a regular basis that you can help him out with, so customize it to those things.

Cristina - Men LOVE Tools! (Think Tim Allen).

But, you want to get him something he can enjoy. He likes baseball? Do you live in a town with a major or minor league baseball team...get him tickets to the home games. Get him a subscription to Sports Illustrated. Get him a DVD of last year's world series or the history of his favorite baseball team. Get him a jersey or jacket of his favorite team.

You never shopped for a father's day gift...I'm sorry to hear that.
