as the other guy said openoffice is very good, and FREE! you can find it here: http://www.openoffice.org/
also if you don't want that getting Microsoft office for free will be illegial, but possible, you should try* registering for some private torrent trackers like demonoid.com, or go to www.isohunt.com, or www.thepiratebay.org.
In no way however am i sujesting that you accually steal this program, and if you do decide to do so your doing it at your own risk, any viruses that you recive from getting it is not my problem, also any legal trouble thats your problem to.
*when i say try i do not mean try to steal ms office, I am saying try to register to privat torrent trackers

Downloading Office for free is illegal, so keep that in mind.. You can find Office 03 or 07 on a torrent site. If you really want to go though with it I'll leave it up to you to find a torrent site and find the download. It's not very hard. I'd recommend OpenOffice which is as good as Microsoft Office and is completely free. OpenOffice can be found here: http://download.openoffice.org/

If you were a licensed user of Microsoft Office 2003 and your validity is still not expired, you can go to microsfot.com and contact the Customer support using phone or email.
They will help you out downloading & installing MS Office 2003 on your laptop.
If you were not a licensed user, please forget it.
And yes, I would suggest not to use any pirated softwares.

Microsoft are not a charity, so no.
If you owned a copy of Office-2003 then you will have to prove it to MS if you want to try and recover it.
