Aspirin is a good pain reliever, and an effective anti-inflammatory. It has the ability to combat fever. Additionally, for some of us, it has the ability to combat heart disease and to lessen the effect of heart attacks.

Aspirin is not the best remedy -particularly for kids-due to the high risk of Reye's Syndrome. Use Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen instead. (Tylenol, Motrin, Advil etc.)
