I think that is terrible that Yahoo doesn't seem to read the actual statement before deleting. You mean any one who gets reported, justified or not, gets deleted? I did not know that. You learn something new every day!

Debra, did u report it to Customer Care as prompted?Seems to me it must have been removed in error.

Well, rest assured, you would not be convicted by a jury of your peers!

It is ridiculous that anyone reports anyone else on here for anything.

I asked a question yesterday, I was asking how to stop being selfish, because I want to be a better Christian. Well, someone else claiming to be a Christian told me that I wasn't being a Christian for my question, and reported me for posting offensive content. My question was removed as a result.

Your question was dumb, sure, but no one should have reported you for it. When I see a question or an answer that I don't care for, I just move on to the next one.

Yahoo answers is supposed to be for everyone, but there are a good number of adults on here who don't believe in free speech. And the 'abuse' reports are handled solely by 'bots' (programs), not real people. In spite of yahoo's claims to the contrary.

Go figure.

Be well.

EDITED TO ADD:
Oops. I didn't notice that it was an answer, not a question. Sorry about that.

So, I guess your answer wasn't stupid after all. :-)

Sounds like you have an enemy. It's someone who just was looking for anything even remotely "a violation" so they could report you. It's probably some anti-Catholic. I can't imagine who else could be against YOU. I mean, you're one of the best people here (no offense to all other good people here). So, they probably reported it for "chatting." But the nature of the question kinda calls for it! So, if they are ok with the question they should be ok with the answer. And I think both are fine.

This is an e-mail I received when I answered someone's question about Eminem. I actually sed that Eminem wuz a good rapper and I also sed that he wuz a racist. There's an Eminem's fan's answer to me. From: Brandon Subject: Go **** yourself Message: dude, i saw your answer on the question "why is eminem considered such a great rapper". and you said hes a racist, dawg you are a ******* dumbsh!t for sayin that ****. im just assuming you think this bullsh!t because of his leaked racist tape "foolish pride". that was when he was ******* 15! and he made it out of anger, he had just broken up with his black girlfriend do i condone it? **** no, but it was ****** 20 years ago and he was immature. hes not a racist, hes quite the opposite. he has spoken against racism many times in interviews, and sometimes in his lyrics. get your ******* facts straight. How's that for mean and offensive, I have yet to report. Other than this I've been called a "jerk" and a "moron" through e-mail courtesy of my Y!A to their question, but nothing like this.

It is ridiculous. You must have a troll because that was hilarious and I would've answered the same as you. All it takes to have you deleted is for more than one screen name to report your answer. It's supposed to safe guard against one person being able to give someone else a violation but people cheat. They open more than one account just so they can report people they don't like more than once and get them violated or worse, suspended. Don't bother contacting customer care. It's automated and spits out repetitious email responses but nobody reads them. Just know it happens to all of us.

I don't think Yahoo Answers community Guidelines has anyone with logic to supervise the complaints they get, so they randomly choose one & send this formal letter.
Take it as a sign that someone is upset you have more points than them, & let it go.

Don't bother contacting Customer Care.... I received the same treatment for an answer an 6 emails to YACC have resulted in 6 form email such as the one you received.

That's the problem with the free will. People use the personal will to destroy the creativity and the freedom of speech of the others.
The report button shall be removed from YA.

I really wish Yahoo people would actually read the reported material before they hit the delete button.

I don't find what you said offensive at all!

They did the same to me. Someone asked if it was OK to kill in the name of God. I responded by saying "You scare me." It was removed for violating Community Guidelines.
