my orders says that i am assigned to ENL REPL FT BLISS (W4LX11) FT BLISS, TX 79916. what does this mean? i do not understand what it is trying to tell me. I am trying to find out what unit I will be with and when their next rotation for deployment. any help will do. Also i havent had time to talk to my drill sergeant, but do i bring my family with me, or do i go alone and establish a place to live first? any help will be appreciated. oh one other thing. I got awarded with home town recruiting and on my orders it says that i am to report to my local recruiting station. I live in oklahoma city and there are many local recruiting offices, but the recruiter i went through lives in arkansas which is a few hundred miles away. I just wanted to see what everyone thinks before i bring it to my drill sergeant. thanks.

You are not qualified for home town recruiter, if you are not going to within 25 miles of the office that you enlisted in and being married disqualifies you. Other requirements are certain age and having a car . You orders have you reporting to the replacement detachment after you get there you will be assigned to your battalion. Go to your unit first by yourself get your assignment report and tell your squad leader that your married and let him help you get every thing you need in place for your family before they come.

your orders are for the replacement company at ft. bliss, once you are there you will in process and then be assigned your unit in a few days. Im actually on my way to ft. bliss right now except i got pinpoint orders so mine have my actual unit on my orders not the replacement unit. as for the signal battalion my mos is 25U and i heard the signal company was deactivated due to the armys realignment now theres commo platoons located within the regular ada and cav battalions and companies. also you can bring your family but the army will only rememburse your hotel stay for up to 10 days so its best to go alone unless you have money saved up when i came to ft. campbell i brought my family and i ended up staying at a hotel for 10 days and it cost me about 1500 bucks for food and lodging. for your hometown recruiting report to the recruiting station that is closest to your home of record. You wont want to drive too far away, when i did hometown recruiting i would show up at 900 and be done by 1300 and alot of people i talked too had similar experiences so dont wast your time. well if you have any other questions you can email me at turborob24@yahoo.com like i said im leaving for bliss in 3 days so i might be able to help you out more

Most posts have an enlisted replacement unit, usually a company, that handles and processes incoming soldiers; all they do is do a quick initial inprocessing and send you to your actual unit. Not everyone gets orders for enlisted replacement units, though--many, including myself, received orders for the actual unit we were to end up in, while in AIT. All the same, we still had to inprocess with the local replacement unit once we arrived; and from there were sent to the actual units we were to be assigned to. It could be that you've merely received preliminary orders; and they know the area you're going to, just that they haven't finished hashing out which unit you'll end up in.

I'd recommend talking to your drill sergeant. They deal with these questions all the time, and (I'm assuming you're still in AIT) are used to the specific issues that tend to arise with new soldiers in your MOS. If there is an actual issue with your orders that needs to be addressed, they'll likely refer you to the local personnel office or whoever else handles assignments where you are. Be diligent and persistent about getting your questions answered--and that applies to the entire duration of your Army career, not just while you're still an IET soldier. Sometimes dumb mistakes will just happen with your paperwork or with your pay; you need to keep good records, make plenty of copies of things (ESPECIALLY orders), and be persistent and diligent about getting things fixed if they get messed up by some careless clown in an office somewhere... which, as you'll no doubt find, happens far more than it should in the Army. Keep records of everything, and watch your paperwork like a hawk... you'll be ahead of the game in doing so. Best of luck.

Well, ENL REPL is replacement, which is where you go when you first go to before assigned to a unit. What it does it get you set up in the Division: records, info for you, CIF (Issuing gear), etc. Here at Ft CAmpbell they let the family stay at the "hotel" on post until you get with housing. I myself was single when i came and under an E4 so they had me in the barracks. The best thing to do is look up some info on FT Bliss relocation (try this)

Hope that it helps answer your questions... JEN

You are to report to the Ft. Bliss Enlisted Replacement Battalion on Ft. Bliss. From there, they will give you addition orders to your new unit on Ft. Bliss.

Good Luck!

Your answer is pretty vague. It sounds like you just got out Basic and you could be going to Bliss for AIT. If you have already gone to AIT then this is more than likely your permanent duty station and you would take up residence there. What would happen is you would go and your family will eventually come to live with you. But... You keep mentioning drill Sgt. are you still in basic? please clarify that because if your out of basic then you should be refereing to your CO or Head NCO. and also are you in the reserves, active, or guard?

It means you're better off not knowing something. Like, for example, not knowing anything about your significant other's past relationships. Or, for another example, me not knowing anything about our financial status--my husband balances the checkbook, and I always ask him before I write a check to be sure we can afford it. I'm sure our finances are very tight, since we are paying off a lot of debt, but I don't worry about it at all. My ignorance of how much we owe makes me not have to worry about it at all, so in a sense, makes me happy, which is what the term "bliss" means.

the company thats on your orders will be for improcessing. once u get their they will find out which company needs your MOS. you will not be able to find out if your getting deployed or not till you get to your real unit. the inprocessing takes about a week. NO!!! do not bring your family or else you will have to put them up into a hotel(which you will be paying for and you dont get reimbursted) for who knows how long untill they get orders.

about the hometown recruited simply go to your nearest recruiting station and tell them your in the hometown recruiting program and you will just drive around with them talking to people.
