Smelyakov and Karpenko artificially divided the Long Count calendar in 12 intervals that decrease in length by means of the Golden Mean ratio, the Auric Time Scale series. The separation epochs of these 12 time intervals are: 3114 BC, 1146 BC, 71 AD, 823, 1287, 1547, 1752, 1861, 1929, 1971, 1997, 2012. These dates were called the bifurcation points of the Auric Time Scale.

The epochs that were found quite perfectly seemed to correlate with:

Clustering of global natural cataclysms such as severe Earthquakes, volcanic activity, space phenomena such as supernovas.

Seabirds dying, ocean toxins.... can you say ~pollution~ by human beings which inhabit this planet.

Earthquakes - well the earths tectonic plates do move this is not unusual.

'Prophecy' is left vague for a reason - so that anyone with an agenda can find an instance to twist and fit it. You are a reading much more into it than what is actually there.

Now we know there is nothing to worrry about on 6/6/06. It is already gone. Plus the Bible just says that it is the number of man, and if a man has wisdom he will be able to calculate the number as 666. Therefore it does not refer to a date. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. As for the Mayan's end date of 12/21/2012, this is the Mayan's countdown to a "new world." I don't even know if you can connect this to the Bible. What are your means for connecting this to the Bible? I also don't see this as a doomsday prophecy. I actually could see this as some sort of golden age, however. If anything, the apocalyse could come as early as next year, 40 years after Israel regained control of Jerusalem. Read in Matthew where it talks about the parable of the fig tree to see what I'm talking about. Israel is supposed to represent the fig tree.

Sigh... too much anti-science to take seriously, so here's a random sample:

You do realize that supernovas aren't really dangerous, right? And that supernovas you see now can be millions of years old?

Isn't that pollution? I mean, not to rain on your apocalyptic parade or anything, but do you hear anything rattling when you shake your head?

And you realize that earthquakes, volcanoes, and supernovas were around long before people right?
