Good luck.
BTW here are the 10 commandments:

where you will find that doing things like swearing and not going to church are MORTAL sins...but rape and slavery are not among them.
Check the Book of Leviticus.
Check with your Bible study group.
Check with your clergyman.
I await your learned replies.

The religious right apparently want to use the bible instead of the law to sentence people to death with.
I can hardly wait for them to be demanding the death sentence for witches again.

The Bible does not say that slavery is a sin. But it does say how to conduct slavery in the book of Exodus 21 and in other places as well. The Apostle Paul calls himself a "slave in Christ" so being a slave doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing and it is certainly not a sin, the way slavery was conducted by the Southerners was a sin!
----
Matthew 5:33-37 - talks of what not to swear by.
Exodus 23:13 states not to swear by an other gods. Don't even mention their names.
Lev. 19:12 states not to use God's name to swear a flasehood and so profane the name of your God.
----
The 10 Commandments can be found in Exodus 20:1-17
----
Rape is a sin that God considers worthy of death in some situations.
Deut 22:25-29 "But if the man meets the engaged woman out in the country, and he rapes her, then only the man should die. Do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no crime worthy of death. This case is similar to that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor. Since the man raped her out in the country, it must be assumed that she screamed, but there was no one to rescue her. "If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

I have never read that not going to a church is a mortal sin, so I don't know where you can find that in scripture.

God Bless You

There are scriptures about how it is wrong to "defile" a woman- Here is one:
Ezekiel 18:6
He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor's wife or lie with a woman during her period.
Numbers 35:34
You shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, for I the LORD dwell in the midst of the people of Israel."
About the slavery- during those times people had slaves- and for times after that-- -but the times are different now- just like the covering of heads--In the NT it speaks of how to treat slaves- how masters ought to treat them because that was how the "times" were back then.

Actually, Deut. 22 talks about rape.

Also, we are told as Christians to follow the laws of man UNLESS, it goes against God's commands.

Rom 13:1-5

13:1 Christians Should Obey the Law

All of you must yield to the government rulers. No one rules unless God has given him the power to rule, and no one rules now without that power from God. 2 So those who are against the government are really against what God has commanded. And they will bring punishment on themselves. 3 Those who do right do not have to fear the rulers; only those who do wrong fear them. Do you want to be unafraid of the rulers? Then do what is right, and they will praise you. 4 The ruler is God's servant to help you. But if you do wrong, then be afraid. He has the power to punish; he is God's servant to punish those who do wrong. 5 So you must yield to the government, not only because you might be punished, but because you know it is right. NCV

You figure it out. Does EVERY little thing have to be spelled out and spoon fed to you? Or are you incapable of taking a hint:

---------------------------------------
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

~Mark 12:28-32 (NIV)

Perhaps this makes it more clear:

----------------
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
~Romans 13:8-10 (New International Version)
