Islam means the "Voluntary submission of ones will to the will of Allah".
If the "voluntary" part is taken out then their conversion is NULL and VOID.

So the part in the Koran which suggests that torturing non-believers is acceptable implies voluntart in what way exactly?
Having said that, Islam will have to go a long way to kill more people than the Catholics have. Their history of violence and torture is quite mind boggling.
It is sad though that for all the effort people put into controlling population, preventing the spread of HIV and generally trying to be a little bit realistic about population / starvation balance - that the Catholic church tells people that condoms CAUSE HIV and that any form of contraception is evil.
So, better to transmit HIV and spit out another child to starve to death then presumably.
Islam? Catholics? They are all after one thing really "join our gang or burn in hell forever" - the ones at the top of the tree are grotesquely wealthy, the others are poor, usually ignorant (again highly desirable for religious reason - stupid people follow without asking too many questions).
How about "Love one another - or at least do them no harm" - that seems to work for most decent people.
Going back to your question, most religions attack one another - Islam is no exception. Most religions lie - or at least "lie by omission". In the case of Islam for example, it is generally regarded as not being helpful to comment on how old the child bride that mohammed enjoyed was.
People pick and choose what they want to belive - or what they feel the line of least resistance is. The more gullible, the easier they are to lead - one of the reasons that ALL religions used to suggest that science etc was NOT a god thing - it spoiled too many of their fables.
Faith is all very well but the moment you have cold hard facts which explode the myth, the less gullible start wondering what else is wrong too.

It is Christians, Jews and even some Muslims who spread false information about Islam. Islam is the perfected religion. Once someone is told the truth that is where it ends in the responsibility of a Muslim to spread the word. No one can force anyway to accept anything.

There's this little thing called history. You like to ignore it, but it still exists.
Islam has been spread by the sword for centuries. First it was Arab raiders in north Africa and the Middle East, then invading the Iberian penninsula and central Europe, and now you have Al Qaeda spreading its brand of isanity in the name of Islam and ethnic cleansing in Darfur.
Give me a break, buddy. Your ideology is nice and everything, but history is real and it's carrying an AK.

There is a differnce in what it must be done and what is actually done .Christians speak of love and forgiveness and yet millions of non-christians(as well as christians with some diffrent views) died during the Crusades and by the Inquisition

voulntary? all the books on islam never said voluntary it just says submit and i have read about the persian zoroastranists who were forced to convert and some indians in india and the armenians who were forced by the turks but let me guess those incedents are just anomolies right? if you want to believe in stone age myths that hold no more relevance in this modern world have fun just keep it to yourself maybe on your next question you should ask why dont muslims try to convert people cause some muslims have handed me pamphlets extoling the joys of islam and gave me phone numbers i can call when i decide to convert

In actual practice Muslims do convert by force. Like just today I got an email from my friend in Iraq. The Iraq government are forcing young Christian girls at a Catholic orphanage to marry Muslim men and convert to Islam.
Islam is a joke.
