Could I keep half a can of beef broth in the can and in the fridge? Is it safe to do and how long will it stay good? Can I leave other opened cans in the fridge like wet cat food? Or is it best to take it out and store leftovers in another container?
I just wanna make sure it's safe.
Thanks.

So what about evaporated and condensed milks from a can? Don't people leave those opened in the fridge for a up to a week? Or is that a different kind of can?

most are safe for a week or so, cover the can with aluminum foil so it does not take on the flavor of fridge odor!!

Anything acidic (pineapple for example) must be stored in another container, the combination of acid, metal and air will taint the flavor of the food and it will not be good to eat.

you can leave them in the frig for a few days, but the odors will transfer to other foods. all your food could end up tasting like cat food. get some cling wrap or something. I save old butter containers and things like that to put leftovers in. anything with a tight lid.

You can leave it in the can but I recommend buying some plastic lids for the cans. You can probably get some at a local Dollar Tree.

Never leave things left over in a tin can. Instead try placing them in a plastic container. This is safer.
