is there a way to disable the licence control system on windows vista?? some of my programs won't work on it anymore.

Unfortunately, this is a common problem with switching to Vista. Microsoft knows that there are issues with older versions of programs not being able to run under Vista like Norton. If that is not the issue and you are having key problems, try contacting the vendor directly. Below is a link to a site that has a list of software with compatibility issues.

I had problems with reinstalling programs before after doing a clean install of my OS. I ended up contacting the vendor and was able to get it to work again. One program was Office XP. I was able to activate it over the phone. Good luck.

newp, to avoid piracy you must use a validation server to confirm you are using a legal version, even with the corp edition of vista. so unlike xp, there wont "eventually be a version you can use"

people have already emulated some servers, try to find one and activate it...just keep in mind that you have to keep renewing it, so in 6 months your in trouble again

You more than likely have an illegal copy of XP. That would be the only reason I could think of it note working.
