sweetjrgirl, you have a valid point. I think its the silence before the storm. Obviously it would have to be in 08.

Well, I'm a RCR fan and from what I've heard so far if that IF Dale Jr. was to drive for RCR, he would drive the #30 car. RCR is not gonna buy the number 8. However, Richard Childress and Dale Jr. have already dicussed this and Richard isn't going to "beg" Jr. to drive for him. He encouraged Jr. to go out and look at all possibilites and then choose the one that he feels is best for him. But, if he does end up choosing RCR, #30 will most likely be his number. Jr. does NOT want to drive the #3 car, he wants it to stay "under retirement" and one day after he's won races again and possibly a championship, and when he's older, he would then like to drive the #3 in honor of his father, but not until years down the road.

Well the partial partnership between DEI and RCR seems to have shifted Jr's focus to Gibbs and Ginn. He is being very tight lipped, but people much more in the know than us aren't mentioning anything about Jr going to RCR. I could see him going there right before he retires, as a sort of tribute, but it is not the best fit for him right now.

Here is my most current "rumor": I believe we will know something at the Pepsi 400, Daytona. I think it will be a co-owner with either Hendrick or RCR, remember teams can only have 4-cars starting in '08. I believe he will have a new sponsor, Nike or Reebok, (don't laugh) just think about it, its the only sport Nike doesn't have a major sports icon as a spokesperson.
I think Budweiser will stay with DEI, Jr. is getting to expensive for the return on investment. Many of Jr's items, License plate, flags, etc do not carry the Bud logo becuase of minors.
we'll see in a few weeks hope it turns out good for him.

jr wont go to gibbs, gibbs wants to race toyotas next year or the year after, and no budweiser....if i was a betting man, i'd have to say Ginn racing, there are quite a few drivers who's contracts expire this year and ginn is pushing to get the best of all of them. whereever jr. goes, bud goes...that fits at ginn...ginn also runs hendricks engines, thats a huge factor in jr.'s eyes due to the fact that hendricks cars are winning or in the top 5 every single week. ginn is jr's best chance at a championship and thats what he wants, the money doesnt matter, he has more than he'll ever spend

Teresa is making a huge mistake. But I don't think he will go to RCR. I don't think he WANTS to go there......yet. He wants to win a championship on his own...own number...different race team from his father...I think that he has a self need to accomplish a championship before he drives the 3 or a black 8 with Goodwrench.
I do agree that whatever is decided will be announced around Daytona. That just seems like what they would do.

Well RCR doesnt have to worry about anything JR is gonna sign with them. Hendrick cant run another car and Gibbs isnt ready for a 4th car. If he wants to stay with Chevy and win a Championship then hes gonna go with RCR no doubt. TERESA!!!! your losing your best possible contender for any championship

I THINK THAT JR GIRLS ALARM CLOCK IS ABOUT TO GO OFF! I WISH THOSE THINGS WERE GOING TO HAPPEN,BUT JUST DON'T THINK JR IS READY TO DRIVE FOR RCR,ESPECIALLY IN THE #3. I HOPE THAT SOME HOW HE GETS TO KEEP #8 BUT CHANCES FOR THAT ARE SLIM TOO. I DO WONDER WHY ANY REPORTS ALWAYS LEAVE OUT RCR.ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Jr said he did not want to drive the #3.That was his father's legacy.I respect him for that.I think Teresa should give him #8 because that was his grandfather's #.
