this is a weird question but i couldn't think of any other way to put it. well, i'm asking this question because i seem to get happy over the simplest things that other "normal" people wont care about and i get sad/upset/depressed over the other the bad things that other people just simply look over. i've thought about this and smiliar things a lot and sometimes i wonder if people are stronger than i am but i'm not sure. they don't show any sign of mercy or joy. and i've talked to a close friend of mine about it but she always says that i think too much and i do believe she is right. i know i think a lot and it makes me feel weird. there are times that i want to change but then the other times i know i dont because my life seems okay the way it is and i'm either happier or sadder than other people. it's more of a roller coaster-ish effect. well, i'll stop here because i feel like i'm talking in circles.

You need to do something to improve your self esteem. Stop basing what you think of yourself based on how others respond to situations.

Why don't you try writing about your experiences? Often creative people experience the ups and down of life more intensely than others. Write a poem. Or, a short story.

Frankly, I think what you have written is lovely.

However, if life continues to bother you, it won't hurt to schedule an appointment with a good psychiatrist or psychologist to talk things through. Or, if you belong to an organized religion perhaps there is someone at your church you can speak with.

Best wishes.

You aren't weird and you aren't alone in your feelings. Keep in mind that 2 different people may look at the same thing and see 2 completely different things; it's part of what makes us each unique. Sounds more to me like you take the time to smell the roses and have a keen mind that notices the little things others may look over. Don't change that!

I think that its great that you are in touch with your feelings. These days many people are cold, emotional drones. So you might be a bit sensitive but at least you can feel alive. Ive noticed this about myself in the last 2-3 years. I'd found myself tearing up over something so simple but it showed me that in life I dont need an excess of money, cars, jewelry, clothing, only moments like these that really make life amazing. You only get one shot a life why not feel every moment of it!

you're just paying attention to details more than others & you're emotionally driven, i'm a detail freak to, i'll sit with ideas for my tat's for weeks or even months before i get them done, & i aggravte my friends with my attention to detail, brandon lee said it best in the crow: "little things used to mean so much to shelly, i used to think they were trivial, believe nothing is trivial", so dont worry about it, but i'd watch the emotion, people will use that against you but you can't be a block of ice either, be balanced!

P.S. i'd rather be weird than normal, normal people fit in & are easily forgotten & die, the weird stand out & so are remembered & live forever!

The worst thing is that your comparing yourself to other people and that in itself is bad for you. Be yourself and enjoy who you are. There is no one else like you so quit trying to be like other people. Change what you can and leave the rest alone. Ask yourself can I change that thing or this thing.... if so try to.. if not ... let it be.

i know how you feel --- it isn't wrong to think too much... i think it's better than NOT thinking very much..

the best way that i have found to deal with the sadness and cynicism that comes with worrying too much about the misery in the world is to pray for those that are suffereing, and then try to let it go........
