Because Jesus was just a man - a good man, but a man - who didn't think his life would have such a lasting impression. He saw injustice in his time and tried to change it, like Dr. King or other leaders - but he wasn't God, and couldn't see the future and know what to say.
That is my opinion.

Jesus provided the cure for Polio: the stripes on His back. Also love thy neighbor as your own self. If everyone was walking in love then there would be no need for nuclear weapons. One thing people miss about love is that love moves to better people's lives even when it is not popular, sin works death therefore seeking to set people free from their sins is showing love. To know to do good and to not do it is sin.

You should know advice doesn't help anybody. Haven't you ever known someone who no matter how many times you tell them the right thing to do, they still do whatever they want and they keep making the same mistakes over and over again? I know I do.
Advice isn't much use, advice isn't much help unless A) we want to follow it and B) we have the ability to follow it - because sometimes our behavior is just out of our control and we need help *real* help to get out of the mess we're in.
That's why Jesus died on the cross - he didn't just have empty words for us, he gave his own life and spilt his own blood so that we could have *real* help: victory over sin, and the Holy Spirit to live inside us and guide us.
So much more than words, Jesus gave us the *power* and the ability to live a better life and be better people - all we need to do is ask him and he will change our hearts and help us to live better lives.
God isn't one to sit on a cloud on high and dictate advice to us, heavens no! He came down to earth and got his hands dirty so he could personally help us out of the mess we are in. Trust him with every problem in your life and he will lead and guide you, I know it's true because he's done it for me! :)

Jesus came to earth to call sinners to repentance and reconcile mankind to our Creator. He didn't come to fix anything. He doesn't owe any one of us a thing. As it is, God has bestowed wonderful gifts upon us to use for the good of mankind, but only so that we glorify Him in return. We have failed Him, and the consequences of that are obvious.

A person can say only so much to ignorant people. Whether they choose to listen or not is their problem. Polio? was that even around back then...?

He gave a ton of information, you have to read the bible to find it. He also helps a lot through prayer. In the bible, there is information to help anyone with any problem. He didn't give the vaccine because you can preform healings through him.

He did and does. He speaks through his Church which most people just abuse and ignore. As much as things change they stay the same.
