Yes, I have heard of several police departments administering IQ tests. They are looking to higher people in the normal range (90 -110). Some have expressed concern that people more intelligent than that would get bored with police work and boredom could lead to inattentiveness.

Well, you managed to turn on your computer, navigate to Yahoo, and successfully ask a question that didn't contain any grammatical or spelling errors. I think you might be right in your assessment. If you really want to become a cop I suggest you have your friends strap you to a chair and force you to watch Fox News until your outlook on life and analytical ability have degraded enough to let you make it through the academy. The highter the IQ the less the common sense! You need much more common sense to be a police officer, than I think you have. Why do I say this, cause you try to toot your own horn.
