I ask for Him to fill my heart up with more of His Love so that I can love my brothers and sisters more......He has shown me that Love is like a plant......it grows stronger everyday....You have to feed that Love.

No actually I have always had a deep love for Jesus ever since I was saved. I did however, get a little leary of my love for God the father. I asked for a better understanding and to love him more and I asked it just like that, like I was talking to him.. I said in Jesus name I pray... man it was like the very next day I was studying the bible and getting all those answers to questions left and right and had a much deeper love and understanding for our father.

i do no longer comprehend that there is a god. one element I even have observed is that once i'm doing recurring issues (watering flora, folding laundry, and so on.), little suggestions spontaneously pop into my head. now and lower back those suggestions or ideas provide me a answer to a issue. now and lower back the random ideas are fairly new suggestions. i think those "little voices" at the instant are and lower back believed with the aid of others to be god speaking directly to them. To me, they arrive from some reminiscence neuron in the ideas that each and every person of sudden went "on." the main element right this is that the neurons come on, or the religious voice speaks whilst i'm comfortable and not thinking approximately any element specially. My ideas merely drifts as a number of ideas come and pass. In different words: relax! it is not a attempt like in college. i do no longer think of you are able to cram for spirituality, or peace, or serenity. merely be open to all opportunities. additionally, it facilitates in case you do no longer label issues "sin." each and every physique makes their alternatives. now and lower back the alternative is misguided, however the guy continues to be sturdy.

weather you are religious or not that should make absolutely no sense.
Would you walk up to your father or uncle and beg them to help you love them better. give me a brake. If they sound as petty as the bible makes god and jesus out to be. i would do the same thing to him that i do if i had a petty father an uncle. leave them alone cause it's not worth it. you should never have to beg to be loved in return. either they like you the way you are or they don't. and how can you not like something you created (meaning your "god").
how are you gonna ask someone to believe in them when you are supposed to already be believeing in them or you wouldn't have a religion. and you wonder why people that don't believe in religion don't want to join one. every question asked puts you right back to the beginning.

What's Mary got to do with this? Look at the Scriptures and show me where Mary has anything, whatsoever, to do with this faith. You cannot do it!
Catholics...Revolt! You have been fed a barrel of lies! Read the Bible for yourself and pay especial attention to the RED WORDS! Shalom!

If you have a personal relationship with Jesus (ie you accepted His gift of sacrifice on the cross, you believe that He died and rose again from the grave to conquer death) then on a day-by-day basis, we are being perfected in Christ.
BUT: in order to be perfected in Christ (ie to become more like Him) we have to continue our relationship with Him. That means we should be reading the Bible everyday--not just reading it, but meditating on it, considering and pondering it (keeping a journal helps).
All you need is a desire to know Jesus more through the reading of His word, through prayer, and through worship. You do not need any rituals or fancy prayers. The Pharisees used fancy prayers that made them stand out in front of others. We are to use prayers that come from *our own heart*. In humbling ourselves, in meekness of supplication, we should have a desire to spend more time with the Lord.
If we do not have this desire, than maybe there are certain things that need to be dropped from our lives that take us away from our relationship with Jesus. . Excess use of video games, movies, TV, etc.
The bible says not to pray in vain repetitious manners. In your prayer, pray from your heart--pray in the way that YOU want, not what the Catholic church is telling to to pray. Pray with humbleness.
If we truly try to better our relationship with Christ, then He will honour our request. You must also believe what you pray. If you pray to know Jesus more, but in your heart you do not believe that God will answer, then your prayer will go unanswered because of disbelief (note this does not mean that God will grant us *everything* we ask because we believe--it also has to be in line with His will. Knowing Jesus more is in His will. Winning the lottery is probably not).
Hope that helps.

If he's so great, why do you have to keep talking yourself into believing he exists? Obviously, there is some insecurity there, probably because you haven't really seen him.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Jesus, if he existed, is just a dead guy, no matter how many times you tell yourself otherwise.

I don't believe.
I am a retired Catholic.
The whole faith is based on fear and guilt.

What does belief have to do with love? I don't see the connection.
