My younger sister came home one day from day and was crying. She was 'Syruped'. She was at a middle school party and some of the girls there took a capless syrup bottle, made my sister open her mouth somehow and squirted the syrup into her mouth. After this they 'shanked' her, which i now know means to pull down someone's pants (not underwear.) She ran off crying. She also said later that this had happened to alot of girls at her school, and to most of the girls, it was their only fear at their school. This NEVER happened when I was in junior high. I think it is just ridiculous! Does this happen where you live? what do you think?

Not as far as I know. But if it had happened to one of my kids, believe me - heads would be rolling. I personally think that any of the girls that participated in this ought to be suspended for at least a week or two at the very least and NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE UP ANY SCHOOL WORK! Schools make it way to easy on the kids that do these bad things and in a way encourage this ridiculous behavior!!!

No way this has never happend at my school (i go to middle school also). Although i think when you pull someones pants down thats called pantsing not shanking... but that is pretty mean...tell her i said i hope she feels better :)

well my school has uniiforms which means skirts fro girls but yeah a lot of guys get shanked and its not very fun for everyone except a certain group

I've never heard of it and don't understand why some get such a thrill from humiliating others...those are the ones to worry about as they grow up. Bully kids tend to grow up be bullying adults.

My 14 year old said that this never happens in his school, but he mentioned "paddling"; high schoolers do that to middle schoolers because they think it's fun. (?)

This does not happen. Weird. I think you should ask your sister who did it to her. Then tell that person(s) off.

You should totally tell on those girls! tell their parents What they did,because that is just WRONG.
