Foot tattoos smear and fade because there's constant friction with socks and shoes. So if you don't want it to fade, go for the neck.

I think both a foot tattoo and a neck tattoo are cute. Only the back of your neck though.

The foot is one of the most painful spots overall to get tattooed. That being said, mine was not that painful. It mostly depends on your pain tolerance, but it will hurt more compared to other parts of your body because it's so close to the bones and tendons. But I would definitely say it's worth getting! I have three colored snowflakes on my foot, it took about an hour and cost $80. It's better for healing if you do wear open shoes, so that shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure you cover it with sunscreen when it's being exposed to the sun, or else it will fade.

Its your body you can do what you want. However think hard about getting any visible tattoos. In the future it might keep you from getting a really good job that you want. I'm a corporate recruiter for many Fortune 500 companies. Almost all of the companies I hire for have a strict policy against visible tattoos. Keep that in mind that the choices you make when young can come back and haunt you later in life. And just because you cant imagine yourself in some type of job now, doesn't mean in the future you wont want to be. Not having a visible tatt will never limit your job choices. Having one always will.

Hey, put your tattoos where you want them to be. Just about any part of your body is appropriate, Keep in mind thought, that a lot of gangs do the neck tattoos. Do you want to join? You might accidently do so, so make sure that your tattoos aren't affiliated with gang activity for a lot more fun and a longer life!! Remember tattoos don't wash off with water, so carefully consider what you want to have forever -- or very expensively removed with lasers!! God Bless, Martha S

Personally, foot tattoos are kinda tacky. The neck is ok, if its on the back of your neck. But that's if you're a hair-updo kinda person. Usually men get the bigger neck tattoos that are more visable, I think it works better for them, small or large. Good luck.

Tattoo's on the feet can be real attractive if kept to a minimum, with black being the only colour (that's just my opinion).

A small neck tattoo would look very nice.

alot of women in my office got foot tattoos last year...and they are really cute...mind you their ages are 30-51 so maybe the craze is going to the older ladies..but they look very nice..flowers and vines and things...neck tattoo at the front may haunt someone when they get to the older age and under the hair seems a waste of time..nicest one Ive seen is a butterfly on the calf...Im thinking of getting a dog there..but I havent worked up the nerve just yet.
