Raises are not automatic unless it is in a contract, and those, like most raises only come once a year. If not in a contract they are based on how good of a worker you have been. Allot of people have the mistaken belief that they are owed more money, no money is earned. Here is a thought work harder, be pleasant, go back to school and get an education, these will get his attention and maybe get you a better raise next time.

Most raises are merit based, not an automatic thing that you are just 'entitled' to. Besides, he just gave you a raise. Do you feel that you are very good at your job? Do you give a little bit of extra effort, take initiative, and maybe do more than you absolutely have to, or are you just kind of skating along? Do something to EARN a pay increase.
