There is nothing wrong with both parties taking a test for STDs in this day and age. Be careful how you bring up the subject, however.
BTW... Why did you say, "I dont want to catch anything different than I already have." Do you already have an STD?

You are not wrong in any way.
Now of days you have to. I also heard on TV that you show go with her and take the test together.
For two reasons:
1.) You know for a fact that she did take the test
2.) She can see that you are not pointing the finger at that she has a bunch of STD's that you are willing to take the test too for her safety as well.
It don't see why she get upset if you request the favor of her. But then again you never know.
Good Luck!

Hell no thats not wrong. Thats probably one of the smartest questions I've answered today. That great of you to consider that, because with all the STDs you could catch these days, no one wants to afford having something new and gross. Ask her. I don't know what is it that you have NOW, but whatever it is make sure you tell her so you don't pass it to her.

NOT AT ALL. You could make it a "date" where the BOTH of you go and get tested. When my husband and i first started dating, we both went and got tested. If she's worth it, should would NEVER want to put you at risk for ANYTHING. It takes just one time to "catch" something... and it doesn't even take sex to get it...

You already have? Tell her what you have, and explain it. Ask her to have medical testing;; it's not wrong, it's your LIFE. Sit her down and have a CONVERSATION about it. Ask her about her medical history, everything. Let her ask you questions. It's the only way to find out.

always because it is your life. You are responsible and if your girlfriend declines a test , it is time to move on. Remember that most STD is permanent You have the right to say no Keep your pp in your drawers

i think you should tell her to take a medical test because in this century people catch a lot of things and i bet you wouldn't want to catch something and say it politely so she doesn't get hurt

There is nothing wrong with asking for an std test. You both need to go in together and get one done. You can't ask her and not do it yourself. You are being safe and responsible good for you!!!!

It's not wrong, but will not help any in putting her "in the mood". If your that worried that you might catch something from her use condoms or maybe you might want to rethinnk having sex with her.

As long as you are willing to do the same thing and share results, no there is nothing wrong. But there can be no double standard - you both do it or nothing.
