Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.
Ironically, Jehovah's Witnesses are UNIQUE among self-described "Christians" in that they actually *DO* believe in the same monotheistic, non-trinitarian Almighty Father as Jews did and typically still do.
Jehovah's Witnesses are great students of the Hebrew Scriptures (they even refuse to call it an "Old Testament"). Jehovah's Witnesses appreciate the richness and robustness of the Law and the prophets, and recognize the literal thousands of ways they point toward Christianity. They recognize that a substantial number of the "kings and priests" who rule forever alongside Jesus must be ethnic Jews.
Jehovah's Witnesses are also unique in applying many of the principles of God's dealings with the nation of Israel to the modern Christian congregation.
Regarding their rejection of the so-called "trinity", Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

Jehovah's Witnesses follow the entire bible and believe that Jehovah is the most high God as Ps 83: 18 brings out and that Jesus is his only begotten Son. We follow only the what the bible tells Christians to do, not traditions and doctrines of men. We do believe the same as faithful men of old, such as Abraham, Issac and Jacob and the faithful Israelites who also worshiped Jehovah. We accept Jesus as the Messiah as Judaism does not.
The only similarity was that Jehovah's Witnesses were also in concentration camps in Nazi Germany, however, Jehovah's Witnesses were there due to not supporting Hitler such as Hailing Hitler or joining his army.
I do truly respect the Jewish people, and feel bad for the horrors that Hitler put upon them, and the world in general even today seems to hate them. It's a sad world we live in, that people have no respect for life, just because someone is a different color, or believes differently.

You would be better off asking what the similarities are! The two are completely different, Jehovah's Witnesses recognise Jesus as Messiah, follow the New Testament etc, Jews are still waiting for the messiah, do not look at anything beyond the Tanach (what non-Jews call the Old Testament) and adhere to the oral law given to Moses at Sinai and eventually recorde din the Mishnah and Talmud.

I was surprised when I found out that the Jew's had also rejected God's word concerning the condition of the dead.
Eccl 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going.
Ecc 3:19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.
Ez 18:4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.
They like Christendom have place Greek philosophy (immortal soul teaching) above the bible.

Interesting subject you've raised. Judaism is still waiting for Messiah's first arrival; JWs wait for his third. Judaism understands its holy scriptures via Rabbinic scholars' interpretations; JWs via their leaders' interpretations; Judaism views itself as the chosen people of God; JWs likewise. Judaism does not proselytise; JWs do. Judaism abhors the idea of the deity of Christ; JWs do too. Judaism was in covenant relationship with God; JWs say that (old) covenant is history and the new covenant Christ brought in is only for 144,000 people. Judaism is looking for God's earthly rule to manifest; JWs ditto. Judaism celebrates Passover annually; JWs incorporate some of that into their annual Memorial. So, a lot of similarities and some significant differences.
