I really need to know the French word for this - is it maille de fenetre (I know there are accents - I just don't feel like figuring it out)?
In turn, in Spanish, is it malla de la ventana? I speak Spanish, and the online translation sites keep saying pantalla - but that's like a movie screen. I need the word for the window screen - the mesh material.

The word in Spanish (at least the one I know and use, remember there are lots of variations from country to country) is "Cedazo" and that is the mesh material used for screens on doors and windows...

The correct word is "mosquitero" if you are talking about the windows in your house.
But, guess what?
In the border of Mexico and USA we say "screen".
Le voy a poner screen a las ventanas.
I am going to put screens on my windows.
Even in glass and window stores, you can read the word "screen" in English, ha ha, I guess it's just Spanglish.

If you mean the meshed frames used in the US to place on open windows so as to prevent insects from flying into the house, in French it is "Cadre de fenêtre avec toile métallique anti insecte"
