How many religions can you prove are false?

there are many things that can point to a false religion.

here are some examples.

Any religion that engages in war e.g.(catholics)
any religion that changes or adds to the bible e.g.(mormons)

I would like everyone to write down one thing that is against the bible and which religion practices this wrongdoing.

btw: the trinity is false. let me guess....your a catholic. well i guess you'd be supprised to know that your own religions books will tell you that they made this up and that its not found in the bible and was not a teaching of Jesus. try doing some research and not just listen to your Popiness

some of these answers make me laugh. like the one about "all embracing" love of religion. God does not support interfaith. if he did than he would not have destroyed ancient peoples for false worship. your an idiot if you cannot see this.

1. Catholics forbidding their priests to marry, NO where in the bible does it say they cannot, that's a man made law and it was started by the first pope!

2. Praying to the Saints, again, where in the bible does it say to do that?

3. Vatican 2, whats that about, they have added chapters to the bible ... Why are they not in the King James Version?

I have a Vatican 2 published bible and there are Book of Toit, Book of Judith, 1st Book of Maccabees and 2nd Book of Macabees, Book of Wisdom, Book of Sirah, Book of Baruch, pick up a Vatican 2 bible and look at the contents yourself! I have had this Bible for almost 20 years! Its known as the Saint Josephs Edition!

Protestant have us in the war in Iraq.(GW BUSH AND THE MAJORITY OF PROTESTANTS IN CONGRESS WHO VOTED FOR THE WAR) While the Vatican opposes it. And if you did some research you would find that the bible was put together by the Catholic Church and his popiness and you would also find that not everything about God is in the bible.Faith is both scripture and tradition thats in scripture but you dont even follow the bible like your suppose to because your preacher doesnt preach the whole bible like you claim but only those that agree with his belief!!

as everyone answered your first dumb question, mormons did not change or add to the bible. We use the KJV of the bible and the book of mormon is a SEPERATE book. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. Completley seperate. and just for the sake of argument, if that were the case, than any translations of the bible would be considered changing it, and the bible wasn't the bible when those verses were written in both Deuteronomy and Revelations. they were seperate accounts compiled together years after revelations or anyother book were written. and also since deuteronomy is the beginning of the Bible, than that means anything after that is adding is false- you see where i'm going with this. if your gonna dislike someone or something based on their beliefs, than at least have your facts straight. And the fact that you are deliberatley trying to engage others in your hateful spirit toward any religion that is not your own makes me question your own belief system. I hope that it is just your own closemindedness and ignorance that poisons you and your attempt to poison others with ideas. it's actually kind of sad. and i hope that one day you will be able to open your arms to all different beliefs and embrace the commandment to love one another. (or was that not part of the bible that you believe in?)

Any religion that rebukes others of being false is in itself ratting themselves out to be false.

If the essence of religion is about All Embracing Love... the source of that All Pervasive Joy must be all embracing to start off with... no discrimination. If that source discriminates into, believe me and I will love you, against me and I will send you to be tortured for all eternity... but I still love you. How can that be all embracing? It has become an Elitist Club... Aryans and Tainteds, High Borns and Slaves, Brahmins and Untouchables... no difference. The whole "chosen ones" concept is so promoting the Ego and Pride of an individual to want to feel special...

2. Religions that promote negatives against any group or pocket of people is either false or incomplete.

3. Religions who say one thing and do the opposite... Hypocrisy - a Big Tell-tale sign - eg. I love Peace, but i will go to war and kill unpeaceful people if I have to, to enforce peacefulness.

I wonder what Jesus would say if he was right here listening to his follower label others with malicious words and arrogantly "laugh your *** off" at others as you coined it... THAT is definitely a reflection of the Christ in you isn't it? Before you start pointing fingers and saying which religion is false and bad... if being a Christian turns a person into one with a malicious tongue like that or becoming arrogant and conceited... I wonder who has proven WHICH religion to be one of falseness?? I cant prove which ones are true and which ones are false. I know though that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I have been Mormon all my life. I havent really been to other churchs so I dont know what they really believe.

Any religion or denomination which does not follow the Bible is wrong. Any church not founded by Christ is wrong.

"One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Ephesians 4:5-6

Jesus promised: “Upon this rock, I will build My church” (Matthew 16:18). He did not promise to build many denominations! He promised to build His church! He died for His church (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 5:25). No where does the Bible say Jesus built a denomination! Nor does the Bible teach Jesus died for any church established by man! He died for only one church, the one He bought with His own blood.

The church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). There is one body (Ephesians 4:4). Therefore, there is but one church! Jesus is the Saviour of His body (Ephesians 5:25). If we want to be saved, we must be in His body. We cannot be saved in a man-made church!

The church of Christ is not a denomination founded by man nor a part of any religious organization founded by man. It originated in Heaven in the mind of God and was set up on earth in the city of Jerusalem on the first Pentecost following the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Lord (Ephesians 3:8-11; Acts 2). Instead of working with denominations, members of the church of Christ plead that all believers in Jesus Christ heed His prayer for unity and become one in His bloodbought body, the church (John 17:20-21; Ephesians 4:4-6; Acts 20:28).

Any religion that preaches world peace is the end all and be all of mankind. It is too idealistic to be anything other than false.

If a religion leads you to kill, or to disrespect your fellow human, or it leads you to intolerance or hatred, that is a false religion.

If a religion leads you to love, compassion, and altruism, and puts in you a drive to be better and to do all you can to help your fellow human, then that is a true religion.
