WHAT?

It symbolizes that you are a follower of Christ Jesus.
Ya know sometimes when I am speeding or passing someone closely without realizing, I think about that fish sticker on my car and I tell myself I better be setting a better example!
I don't want to be a mad driver - but once again we are all human and some things get to us easier than others.....But I am not ashamed to show the world I love the Lord!

I used to think that too. I hired a guy with a fish on his business truck not that long ago. We made the mistake of paying him in full right before he was completely finished with our sunroom. He only had the shoe molding left to put on to close the gap between the floor tile and the wall, which is kind of an important and routine part of finishing a room. Well he never came back! We kept calling him and leaving polite messages, to no avail. Finally my husband went to his home and asked him when he was going to finish our room? And he said that we hadn't talked about the shoe molding and that it would be another $150. My husband told him that we didn't talk about the other mouldings so why is this small job suddenly an "extra"? My husband looked at him and said: "I'd rather pay someone else $200 to do it, than to have you in my home again." I hope this guy doesn't think that he's a reflection of God, because he's a dishonest charlattan. When we finally got another guy to come and do it, when he found out that this was an unfinished part of a room we'd fully paid for, he gave us a discount and he didn't have a fish on his car! ;o) Sorry I went long, but it was such a great question and it hit a chord! Thanks. I'm giving you a star! ;o)

I usually translate any sort of religious decoration on the back of cars to mean that the occupant is a bad driver.

C. It is dangerous for this person to be driving. They probably believe that angels will protect them if they are careless. If not, they still believe in fairy tales at best. To believe in fairy tales and imginary friends is quite a psychological problem. I fear for the safety of everyone else on the road. It's like a drunk driver, but this person never sobers up.

It makes me think that here is a person who requires validation outside of him/herself, someone who needs to be seen as belonging to a herd rather than standing on their own. Of course I think the same thing about bumper stickers, and even the car's brand name in many cases. People who deliberately label themselves are to be pitied, although I am more forgiving if the expressed opinion is unpopular.

It just tells me that they're likely to be a bad driver, going too slow, and making dangerous maneuvers because they're not paying attention.

(Yes, I have obvserved this on many occasions. It is a warning flag to me. I think a lot of that is due to the fact that mainly old people have those fish)

I think of the story on the Mount about when Jesus multiplies the 5 fish and the 2 loaves of bread.

C. "Boy, that reminds me of my friend who would make little feet that he could stick on those fishes when the person wasn't looking."

I had a friend who did just that... turned all the Jesus fish into Evolve fish.
