I'm a female and until recently my closest friends have always been male.

I just think it's the fact that your mom is too worried that you would do too many girly things that might make you gay or made fun of at school. It's fine although hanging out with a guy to play some sports or video games might not be a bad idea once in a while.

I'm a guy, I think guys make better friends only because I have been trying to find miss right and friendship always seems to get in the way (should you be looking for friends on a singles sight anyway...just a question)

Male friends... no female friends... no... WELL DANG I DON'T KNOW! Male friends are good cause they won't create dramas... Female friends are good cause they'll understand more... Yeah well I really never had a close male friend, I only had ex so I don't know... Maybe male is better cause it won't be so much drama and backstabbing stuff...

I'm female and I think females make the better friends, you just have be careful when picking them.

It really depends.
I'm friends with both. Heres how I see... Male friends (in my case) we hang out a lot, play video games, and we talk about girls (who we like and other personal stuff)
Female friends (in my case) I like to talk to them, and find out more about them, they tell us (guys) things about them and stuff... (when I was with my girlfriend... a lot happened to me and my female friends were there to help me out more than my guy friends cause they understand more about this kind of situation)
So thats why I said it depends. You can get along with both, or you could get along with girls better than guys or maybe the opposite of that. never know.

ok im a girl and i think males are better friends cause girls always have drama if u r in a fight and guys r just like wat ever
