Yes, it does. If they were not interested in you, they would have just put your application in a filing cabinet and not bothered with your references. Employers only have so much time in their day, and trust me, they wouldn't waste it on someone they couldn't see being beneficial to their company.

It does - if they weren't very interested, they wouldn't have contacted your references. You've definitely made the first cut. It's possible that they still have a couple people they're considering, though. But it's definitely a good sign.

Usually they don't run a reference check if they are not interested in you. The interviewer don't want to make the mistake of hiring a lazy bum.

Yes - pending the other references, drug screen if they do that & background check.

This is definately a positive sign! They wouldn't bother if you weren't moving forward!
